Blues is the mother of jazz. From Free Jazz to Swing. No one can tell me how to sing blues. My ancestors owned that sh*t. Appropriate it all you like.
Ignorants blaming singers singing off. What about the other musicians playing out of tune. Not playing in the singers key?

Especially Europeans who think they invented jazz or those who like to disrespect gospel music in jazz progressively; a poignant benchmark in jazz, historically, from blues, without which – you have nothing ..’ –
Some Europeans carrying on about jazz make me laugh when they act as if it’s their legacy and not black origin music. That’s a blues for you to note.

I’ve read Aretha’s Biography years ago in a book I still have. So insightful. Also have scores of music arrangements of Aretha’s work.
Grew up on her fondly and loved her sense of humour and sassy wit. Definitely an impressionable masterclass act in the veins of Picasso and Leonardo Di Vinci.
She will always be adored and admired. Thank you for inspiring us all soulfully. Time has come. Goodnight. Sweet dreams ..’ 😍😍😍
