Mr X was booked (again) to play at a gig this week, but did not turn up. The horror on my face when I realised – the Holy Spirit alerted me all along, that Mr X, was the wrong musician, to hire – but I argued, wrestled, and resisted the nudge.
Talk about – I told you so! Especially, when Mr X was a disappointment, 2 years ago – who turned up, an hour late, with his insisted on, to play with drummer, to my last west end residency, which consequently got cancelled -because of him.
It also happened, PRS showed up that day & Universal pictures. Talk about melt down. I’ll save Mr X the embarrassment of no name. This sh*t needs to stop.
I’ve never had this issue – with non black african musicians. Just goes to show, just because they are Xtain’s and amazing – don’t mean they – are professional, reliable, material! Lesson learned. I’m done with being nice to these people or giving 2nd chances. Fool me once, shame on you … fool me twice, shame on me!
Till now, Mr X has not phoned, or texted, or emailed – to explain – why he did not show up for, his wed booking – another new residency, we got him on again. Nor did he send a dep, to cover him.
It’s just a joke, sometimes when some of them, standing in cloaks, behind a pulpit, try to lecture – on moral decorum! It’s just hilarious ..’ Watch what they do – not what they say – cuz, somewhere, in there, allies their truth !!!
I feel violated right now and have no more words to say – than this rant! May God Bless Mr X with his future career (elsewhere)!
I learned another great lesson today. Even, your closest ally can turn on you any time – ‘T’. You could be manipulated by the very same people who claim to love you above all others. Sweetly, quickly – I grow, ears, eyes and noses at the back, of my head ..’
Thank God, I have the revelation of the HOLY SPIRIT, to guide and comfort me, when I’m right and I am wrong. Amen ::
And yes, I do like to give, and give, and give – just a little bit more, and forgive, while I’m at it :: cuz, I just might need, that forgiveness, one day, because God is Love and there is nothing above Love*.
